What is a Pale Ale?
Pale Ale is a great beer to start with if you’re looking for something a bit different from lager. With a similar colour to pilsner-style beer, pale ale tastes both maltier and hoppier than lager. Though pale ale was first created in Britain in the 1700s, it became popular in the US in the 1980s and the brewing process has been refined over the years. When you try a pale ale, you’ll typically experience notes of tropical fruit and pine resin paired with a medium body and a little sweetness from the combination of malts.

Are Pale Ales bitter?
Among many drinkers, pale ale and bitter are synonymous with each other. That’s because pale ales have a robustly bitter flavour thanks to the use of various hops throughout the brewing process. Pale ales have distinctly tropical notes, a fruity fragrance and a hoppy finish.
