SUMMARY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Open to UK residents only, aged 18+. Bid on the Old Master Hen 2024 Vintage - First Bottle at https://shop.greeneking.co.uk/products/old-master-hen-2024-vintage-first-bottle. You must have a Greene King online shop account in order to place a bid. The auction will run from 09:00 on 25/05/2024 until 20:00 on 05/06/2024. The winning bidder will be contacted by Greene King via email and sent an invoice that must be settled within 7 working days of receipt. The winning bidder will be sent 1 x 500ml bottle of Old Master Hen, numbered 00001 on the back label. All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support a registered charity in England and Wales (261017), in Scotland (SCO39907) and in the Isle of Man (604). TERMS & CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY NOTICE
- By entering this promotion you are deemed to have accepted, and will be bound by, these terms and conditions.
- This Auction is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over only. Employees of Greene King, their families, agencies, or anyone else professionally connected with this Auction are not eligible to enter.
- Promotional Period. This Auction opens at 09:00 on 25/05/2024 until 20:00 on 05/06/2024.
- All proceeds of this Auction will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support a registered charity in England and Wales (261017), in Scotland (SCO39907) and in the Isle of Man (604) and Greene King will cover delivery costs, VAT, plus any other fees.
- Entry requirements. You must place a bid on the Old Master Hen 2024 Vintage - First Bottle at https://shop.greeneking.co.uk/products/old-master-hen-2024-vintage-first-bottle. You must have a Greene King online shop account in order to place a bid. You may place new bids until the closing date. Bids placed after the closing date will not be acknowledged or counted. There is no limit on how many bids may be placed per person.
- Each placement of a bid will constitute a legal offer which, on acceptance by Greene king, will form an agreement which will be binding on the bidder. All bids will remain valid until payment for the beer has been received.
- The Auction will be conducted in pounds sterling.
- Winning Bid. The winner will be the person that has placed the highest bid which meets all conditions (“Winning Bid”). If a bid is followed by a higher bid that is later rejected by us for any reason, it will be open to us to accept the earlier bid, as though the higher bid had never been made. We reserve the right to refuse or remove bids at our absolute discretion.
- We reserve the right to close the Auction early or to extend it at any time and at our discretion. The Auction may be cancelled or delayed because of issues such as technical difficulties experienced by us or a decision by the donor of the Auction prize to remove its item from the Auction.
- In the event that the Auction is cancelled for any reason and subsequently restarted, as set out in clause 8 above, all previous bids will lapse and bidding will recommence.
- The winning bidder will receive 1 x 500ml bottle of Old Master Hen, numbered 00001 on the back label. The Winning Bid will cover the cost of delivery and includes VAT.
- We and Macmillan Cancer Support believe that the Winning Bid is exempt from paying VAT for the purposes of Auctions. If this position should change, the amount of the Winning Bid shall be inclusive of any applicable VAT.
- Entrants are permitted to bid on behalf of another person but as the bidder, the entrant will be paying for the Auction prize. The Auction prize is non-transferable and cannot be sold or auctioned. No cash or other alternative to the Auction prize will be offered save for in the event of unforeseen circumstances, in which case we reserve the right to offer an alternative Auction prize of equal or greater value than the original. The winning bidder shall have the right to decline the alternative Auction prize within seven days and will have the right to a refund of monies paid. In the event that the winning bidder does not accept the alternative Auction prize, it will be offered to the next highest bidder.
- The winning bidder will be informed of their prize within five working days following the end of the promotion, unless otherwise specified.
- Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winning bidder using the details registered to their online account, to confirm the amount of the Winning Bid, details of the Auction prize, and to arrange payment and delivery. However, if a response has not been received within three days, or if the winning bidder with the Winning Bid is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions, or unable to take up the Auction prize for any other reason, or payment is not made within the timescales specified by us, we reserve the right to offer the Auction prize to the next highest bidder.
- All monies must be received within four days of the winning bidder receiving confirmation that the bid is the Winning Bid. The Auction prize will not be released until payment has been received and cleared.
- We accept no responsibility for failed delivery due to the provision of incorrect contact details by you.
- The winning bidder will receive their prize within 30 working days following the end of the promotion, unless otherwise specified. In any event the prize must be claimed and taken within six months of the closing date.
- Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any damage, loss or injury suffered (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way due to entering this promotion or taking up a prize. We are not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
- Intellectual property. You will retain ownership of any content, submissions and other material that you submit as part of this promotion. However, you grant us (and our agents and affiliates) a non-exclusive, royalty free, worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to use any such content, submissions and other material for the purposes of this promotion.
- The winning bidder may be asked to take part in publicity relating to this promotion but this will be discussed with them before taking place.
- Winner’s name.
- General terms. No bulk, machine-generated consumer group or third-party entries will be accepted. Entries are restricted to one entry per person. In the event of multiple entries being received from the same person or account, only the first entry will be accepted.
- We reserve the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible entries. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed, technical or telecommunications faults. Proof of submitting is not proof of receipt.
- We reserve the right, in our absolute discretion, to verify the winning bidder, including, but not limited to, proof of identity and/or age, as required, and to withdraw an Auction prize where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or otherwise where an entrant has gained advantage in participating in the Auction or has won using fraudulent means.
- Our decision is binding in all matters relating to this Auction, and no correspondence shall be entered into.
- Owing to exceptional circumstances outside our reasonable control and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, we reserve the right to cancel or amend the Auction or these terms and conditions at any time, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to you in order to avoid undue disappointment.
- Governing law & jurisdiction. These terms and conditions (and any non-contractual disputes/claims which arise out of or in connection with them) will be governed by English law and we and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
