    A rich and welcoming stout, brewed from 100% Scottish grown barley, fresh local water and our unique Belhaven yeast. In fact, we use a blend of roast barley, roasted black malt and a light roasted chocolate malt.

    Malt:  Pale, Crystal, Chocolate and Roasted Barley

    Hops:  Challenger

    Perfect with: Rich beef or game stews, steak pies or casseroles; a revelation with dark chocolate torte.

    Additional Notes:  Fresh roasted aroma and taste with a hint of coffee from the roasted barley.  The addition of chocolate malt adds a dark chocolate complexity.  Simply hopped with Challenger to provide a clean low level bitterness.  The dry hop character from challenger is kept to a minimum allowing the key roasted and chocolate flavours to come to the fore.

    Very Good Beer

    Delicious stout which I discovered when visiting Scotland. I found it lighter and smoother than Guinness. Some subtle differences between the draught and bottled, hard to describe and nothing detremental. There were some minor issues with my order which were sorted out quickly. The beer arrived very well packed with no breakages.

    Belhaven Black

    I first sampled this stout earlier this year in Ullapool, wonderful taste much better than Guinness, not as bitter, will definitely buy more

    The best stout

    This is the best stout I have drank I was a big fan off the major Irish brand till I tried this. But its bellhaven black for me now on .I have also given a bottle to two of my friends and they agree it one of the best stouts on the market

    Excellent product and service

    Bought for my boyfriend who says he could ‘guzzle it down’ all day if he could. Says it tastes like chocolate and it’s his favourite stout. A pity it’s so hard to find outside of Scotland hence having to order online! Service was great though and very quick delivery.
