What's the inspiration behind the beer? In the 16th Century in Bury St Edmunds, those convicted of minor crimes were sentenced to a day in the pillories. With clouded judgement and a hazy sense of morality, locals would come to heckle, goad and even throw things at the miscreants!

Even with the unique name and great design on the packaging this IPA was much better than I would have expected from Greene King! This beer is not nearly as hazy as other hazy beers, but I really enjoyed drinking it and would recommend as it is very easy to drink. The flavour is very citrussy but not tangy, I taste predominantly grapefruit which is refreshing and quite moreish. Personally, this is a summer beer which I prefer to drink cold and at this strength and flavour I do feel it is good value and will probably buy it again. The only disappointment is that I really would like to know more about where the flavours come from, like which hops are used. Unfortunately, Greene King do not explain this anywhere.

Gary was great at the IFE. Hazyday is fresh, aromatic and soft pale ale. This is great to drink on its own or well with any food that is not too spicy such as fish or pasta dishes, so you can still enjoy the flavours of the beer with your food.
