I had never heard or seen this beer until my wife brought 2-3 bottles of it from the supermarket. Not at all a heavy beer which is my fancy. But with an ABV of 3.4 it is very light, refreshing, and absolutely tasty. Makes a change from what I like, but it is never, " that wasn't worth the money." It is worth the money for such an ale.

I love an Old Speckled Hen so naturally wanted to try the new beer on the block. I did not regret it! Really moreish, light and refreshing with a depth of flavour. Would recommend!

Should be renamed 'Old Special Hen' as it is an absolutely wonderful refreshing beer. I don't usually drink beer during the warmer months, but thanks to Greene King, I shall be from now on.
